Re: Thanks to SteveD in Melbourne, Oz
SteveD, I used the caliper up brake fluid injection method you described in one of your posts after I installed new handlebars and brake lines. I had a totally empty system and it worked a treat. Filled the left side first then listened to the bubbles as I did the right side. Good firm lever and no...

Re: All you need to know about boxer charging.
That little book stays on my bike wherever I go. I was on the side of the road on a hot afternoon thirsty for beer. I had lost all power and that little book helped me make it to the beer garden at a rally before closing. I say it's worth every penny when your stranded. That little book stays on my...

Hey, I'd be interested in any old issues of the Airhead Beemer Club newsletter from 2012 and earlier. There are some I already have, so please let me know which ones you're willing to part with beforehand.

Re: Insturment cluster repair
I'm probably late to the party, but you might try ForeignSpeedoInc.com 619-298-5278 (San Diego) They advertise in "Airmail" . I looked at the website. It makes "sparse" look overdone. But in a way I appreciate it. The message is (probably) Hey, give us a call. Let's talk about w...

Re: Centre stand springs....alternatives??
Brilliant, Jean. Since we're on the subject, I've had recurring problems with the CS springs popping off the tang on the CS itself. Even when they're on, there's a smidge of play on the CS end. Is that normal? And am I even putting them on right, hooking them on from under? It's near impossible (for...

Adios, indeed. I hope you read this in a few days, meaning you're presently getting some miles for the rest of us (like me, at home with the boys & our nephew). As for your center stand spring, my buddy once fashioned a damned good fix for his with a wire coat hanger. Never failed him, even on o...

Wow. What a mess, but all in all the cap was probably going to be toast one way or another. I say damned good job. You got it done, ME; have a well-earned beer.
