Re: Today in the shed you did...
Just playing with a new plasma cutter in my shed. Wait, does a 1000 sq. ft. basement count as a shed? It must, that's where my '83 r80 lives. All it wants is fluid changes, brakes and tires. Boringly reliable. The bad part about this shed is that it's only out of earshot when the dehumidifier, air c...

Re: rear tire
I guess a lift table with a rear wheel dropout would be cool. It's only money, can't take it with you.

rear tire
Quick question. My 1983 r80rt has a 120-90-18 Metzler me88 on the rear. It is a pain in the ass to remove. I have to partially deflate it to get by the brake shoes. I just read in an online owner's manual that it should be a 4.00 x 18. Is this the case? I am ready to replace it anyhoo. Thanks

converting snowflakes
Hello all, I'm going to convert snowflake rims on my '83 r80 to tubeless. I measured my tube stems at a hair less than .30". Bike Bandit has stems for a .30" hole. Anyone out there have any experience with these Drag Specialties stems?

Re: starting problems
SteveD, I've got to have a can of Start Ya Bastard. Not to start my bike, to put on the fireplace mantle. I love Oz advertising.

Who cares? Tell her to take more pictures of shiny reflective surfaces with less distortion.

Thanks to SteveD in Melbourne, Oz
SteveD, I used the caliper up brake fluid injection method you described in one of your posts after I installed new handlebars and brake lines. I had a totally empty system and it worked a treat. Filled the left side first then listened to the bubbles as I did the right side. Good firm lever and not...
