Thanks Kurt in S.A., that resource is much appreciated!

Also found the upper choke cable which snapped on me there - 32731242594 (posting so I don't lose it)

R65 1984 Clutch Cable Length

Anybody know the specific model number for this year? Got one from a '79 and it's a couple inches short, see image. Presumed it would fit given the description (1979 BMW R65 R 65 80 90 Airhead S314-1 Clutch Cable) but you know what they say about assumptions...seems I'll never learn. Bike is looking...

Re: R65 - How To - Remove Rear Wheel

It was the brake wingnut; backed it up and it slid right off.

Thanks all!

R65 - How To - Remove Rear Wheel

Got some new tires and need to pull the rear wheel. I got the shaft removed but it seems like the brake shoes are holding on a bit and not letting me get the wheel off. I figured asking here would net the best results...certainly better than hammering it and breaking something. Can anybody share som...

Re: Out of round front wheel - Snowflake

Taking it out to Mikey in Martindale this Saturday...one helluva resource to have not so far from home. He seems to think there's a flatspot based on what I told him about it and he's got some replacements for me to choose from.

Thanks for the contact @Rob, much appreciated!

Re: Out of round front wheel - Snowflake

@ME-109 it wobbles at any speed but I didn't want to take it over 40. @MS - Pic won't really show anything significant, there's not really a dent but you can see it move slightly to the left side when I spin it. I'll try to grab a video when my lady friend comes over tonight...was a bit tough trying...

Re: Out of round front wheel - Snowflake

Thanks for the replies folks! ME 109 - The shimmy is so slight it's almost unnoticeable. Almost. I tried to get a video but was largely unsuccessful. Rob - Thanks for that, I'm in Austin so he isn't far from me....sounds like a good resource to have nearby. I'll update once I have a resolution in th...

Out of round front wheel - Snowflake

Howdy, Just wondering if it's possible to straighten an out of round 18" front snowflake wheel on my '84 R65. I hit a curb moving about 15-20mph and it's got a shimmy in it now; not huge but not really rideable over 40mph. If not does anyone know of any resources I could use to find another? Th...
