Toaster Gas Tank Seal Replacement
Hi All, So I share my garage with my girlfriend and she's constantly complaining about the mild gasoline aroma coming from my 1972 R75/5 Toaster. I purchased a new gasket, a new rivet and a new washer (part numbers 16111230603, 07119904207, 07119944651 respectively). These are all the parts I can im...

Re: R75/5 choke stopped working
Hey guys, thanks again for all the good info. I took the carbs off, cleaned what I could and checked all the possible culprits. I found absolutely nothing out of place. Yet, after reassembling and reinstalling the carbs, the choke works fine. I'm guessing I just had a loose screw that contributed to...

Re: R75/5 choke stopped working
Yeah, i've check that the control arms are swinging, and they are. That would have been a simple fix.
I still haven't had time to take the carbs off, but I will get to is ASAP and report back.

Re: R75/5 choke stopped working
Ahhh, thanks. I haven't taken these carbs off the bike yet, so had no idea what the reverse side looked like.
I don't know if I'll have time to get to it tonight, but I'll post an update when I know more.
Thanks again everyone!

R75/5 choke stopped working
Hey all, So my R75/5 used to start right up when it choked (half or full), but now it will not. It will start up without the choke (thanks, probably, to the sunny Southern California weather), but it will die once I engage the choke (cold or warm). I can keep it alive by giving it some gas, but it's...

Matt Dobner? Great airhead mechanic in Long Beach?
Hey, so I've been told about this guy Matt Dobner. He's supposed to be an excellent airhead mechanic ic Long Beach, California. But I can't find reliable information anywhere. Everyone I meet that mentions him also mentions that he's very quirky and hard to pin down. Sounds like my kind of guy. But ...

Redline Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil worth the cash?
Hey all, I've been thinking about buying Redline Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil for use in my transmission, drive shaft and final drive, but it's really expensive. That said, I usually don't cheap out on important things like oil. Any experiences in using them for airheads? I know airheads are clunky shi...

Re: R75/5 fork drain problem. yikes!
Thanks for the replies, everyone. My signature was actually there the whole time. And yeah, the CB200 is an awesome little bike. So incredibly reliable. Pretty much the exact opposite of the WL45... Anyhow, after using a car jack to get a little more space out of the front forks, I was able to drain...
