Re: Fuel Starvation
I have had a similar experience on my reserve line. I had to replace the screens on the petcock straws and it cleared it up.

Top End Work
I’m finally getting around to cleaning up the engine on my 72 R75/5. I purchased the bike last year and the prior owner did all the cosmetic work but nothing to the engine. I’ve got a few leaks from the right cylinder, drive boot and the clutch gasket. I consider myself a decent mechanic and rebuilt...

Re: Throttle cables for newer carbs
Thanks for the feedback. I did a rough measurement last night and they are not off by much. Only about an inch to an inch and a half. I may see if I can adjust their path to take up a little slack. Otherwise, Motion Pro offers custom cables. Not sure the pricing though.

Throttle cables for newer carbs
After reading Snowbum's article on Bing Carbs and having issue after issue with the my old Bing 64/32/1 &2 carbs on a 72' R75/5 SWB, I decided to a upgrade to a slightly newer 64/32/257/258 off a R80. I’ve cleaned them up, replaced all the internal parts and added manual chokes. Everything mount...

Re: My New Bing Floats
I paid about $40 for the set so a little cheaper than the OEM ones that are around $60-70 per set. I’ll give them a go. Worst case I can replace them.

My New Bing Floats
I recently purchased a replacement pair of floats for my Bing 32mm carbs on my R75/5. I purchased them from a parts company that always has great products (so I won't list their name) but I am questioning the quality of these floats. My old ones have a marble pattern and seem more substantial. Howev...

Bing Rebuild kit
I’m about to replace my 64/32/1 and 2 Bing carbs with a slightly newer pair 64/32/13 and 14 on a 72’ R75/5. I need to completely rebuild the carbs with new diaphragms, floats, gaskets, etc. My question is regarding the complete rebuild kit directly from Bing that’s $230. Is it that much more superio...
