Hi, I have a 1977 R100s with a fuel cap that will not come off. Any help with this is very much appreciated. I have attached a video, at one point you can hear it clicking but it won't unlock.
Thanks, Daniel.

Yes no flange on them. Was this a thing back in 1978 or do I just have an odd ball set?

Yes I can see now that I didn't get it aligned. The pushrod tubes are what was on the bike. Looks like I need to get some more then.

Here's pics. Do they go fully up to the casing? I remember having trouble getting them in in the first place.

R100s 1978 - Leaking oil from pushrod seals
Hi, I just wondered if there was a secret to stopping these from leaking. I fitted new seals, the ones that fit up to the engine casing but they do leak. I have tried pushing them home again but they don't seem to be improving.
Is there something obvious that I am missing maybe?
Daniel.

Re: R100s 1978 - Oil light only goes off at high revs
Thanks for all the replies to this thread even though the series of events that led me to the issues seemed to have got blurred along the way. I have only today managed to find time to work on the bike.
The suspect was a sensor, so a success and not an expensive one.
Thanks, Daniel.

Re: R100s 1978 - Oil light only goes off at high revs
No I didn't change the filter and then there was a problem. I had put in a new filter and new oil and it was all working fine on one day when I ran the engine with the bike at a standstill. The next day (the bike had not been moved) the oil light did not go out when I started the bike as it had done...

R100s 1978 - Oil light only goes off at high revs
I am thinking that it is a faulty sender. I have the correct amount of new oil in the engine. I have to rev the engine quite high to get a response from the light on the clocks. Im hoping its just the sender.
