I think your bike looks wonderful as it is! That said.. If you go with handlebar MC be sure that it is small enough for the single disc. I got a too big one on my /6 and ended up with a very hard, plank-like brake feeling. a bit better respons, but the brakes still sucks..

What about the ear in the top, could that be worn so the angle somehow gets wrong?

Have you checked that the enrichers are mounted the correct way?

Would it be possible to connect a reisistor instead of the bulb? If the bulb is 1,2w and P=U*I and U=I*R that makes R=U*U/P, 12*12/1,2, 120ohm. So a 120ohms resistor should do the work. Or am I missing something here?

Thank you all for much appreciated help! It turned out that the connections to the relay was falty/irrigated. some WD-40 sorted it all out. Got a chance to wrench a bit and faultseek it all on the way, much say it's a pleasure to work on this old machinery, Quality of it make it fell almost like new...

Thanks Rob, this is a great list to start troubleshooting. Bike is a 74, produced late '73, so of the first /6. So no clutch switch, only the neutral switch. No clicks or any other sounds when hitting the starter button. It will be some days before I can get round to start troubleshooting, will get ...
