Should have said in my edit that Duane covered the dents (by blue word link) in his excellent, with photos, dismounting instructions...which I read after dismounting one.

Looking from the tube's point of view, the circa 1962 aluminum rim has five ridges within slightly less than half the rim's circumference. As these might somewhat affect how the tire beads fall into the drop center during mounting, is there any recommendation on where to begin the tire removal or in...

Two days two elderly pull out on two motorcycles.

Central PA, USA. Car drivers turning left from stops. Both cyclists riding solo. Dead. One was Harley rider w/o helmet by 70 something male with wife passenger. Other was cyclist said to be speeding by driver 80.

Once on an air-cooled VW, I think, I pulled a plug with part of porcelain (from around center electrode) missing. Seems such would be hard and sharp and could groove a cylinder wall.

(R27 250cc Cylinder bore hone carbide? preparation ? BoreTech) Any down side to the optional carbide treatment? Cylinder has two pressed in chrome pushrod tubes and an oil supply tube. Do these need removed for bore/hone/carbide? Grooves in bore make me think prior owner's spark plug may have failed...
