Re: /2 keeps blowing headlights
I can offer no help, except that mine does the same thing. I figure it's maybe the quality of the available bulbs? I dunno...I guess I'll plan on swapping to 12v at some point too.

Re: Anyone in Cali have a /2....
I do...I'm currently looking at the calendar to see if there's any way I could pull off getting up there. With two kids it's tight for time these days, but I'd like to try.

R69US shift points
I now have around 3500 miles or so on the newly rebuilt, well, almost everything on my R69US. The shift point indicators on the speedo have would have me shifting to 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the maximum respective speeds of 38, 60 and 85 MPH. Having had a few high strung air-cooled twins over the years, ...

Re: /2 electrical questions
Ah, you beat me to it. I found it. So the signal wire should just come off the headlight housing and go back to the small red triangle light I suppose.

Re: /2 electrical questions
That was helpful, thanks. Now I just need to find out what I hooked up to get headlaight power in both directions. Otherwise seems like it's working. Also: On my headlight bucket, I have four lights. The two, side by side red and green ones and then two more. The orange I would expect was for turn s...

/2 electrical questions
So, now that the R69 is up and running, I have two questions straight away regarding the electrics. First, what should the key left and right positions do differently? Or does it matter? As it is now, key down allows the bike to run, as well as neutral and generator lights. Left or right both turn o...

Re: Slooow resurrection of an R69
Some things I realize now, should I ever do this again: -Buy the stupid hardware kit. I thought it was overpriced, but I don't even want to know how much I've spent at the local Ace hardware in SS fasteners. Not to mention the time and fuel to go down there every time I was just positive it was #12 ...

It lives!
Started her up, sans mufflers (didn't show up until yesterday) and did some initial carb tuning. Amazingly it settled into a decent idle almost immediately. I still have to rig the front and rear brakes, track down the signal for the generator light, hook up the speedo light and lots of other little...

Re: Slooow resurrection of an R69
Lots done today. Heads are on, harness is (mostly) routed, bodywork's back on. Starting to look like a bike again
