Re: Bing Vacuum physics
WOW! Major Softie needs to work on his bed side manner. I don't need to be hit with the "third grade education" stuff.I know all about Bernoulli's laws......Since Bings are so sensitive I thought the addition or removal of restrictions might throw that balance off enough to bother things. ...

Re: Bing Vacuum physics
I guess I pictured a simpler diagram in my mind. Like drawing air through a straw. Air flows, but nothing else. Put the straw in water, the resistance of the water creates vacuum and the liquid goes up. Get a super-thick milkshake, you have to create more vacuum to get it to move. You don't create v...

Since the piston draws air through the carb, and the resulting vacuum causes the diaphram to lift the slide and needle open.... if a low resistance air cleaner is used, does the lack of a resistance to help create that vacuum keep the slide from rising as far as it should? My '82 R100 pulls like cra...

3/4 Sport Seat
I have a 3/4 sport seat, similar to the ones that came as an option and at one time, for one year, as part of a bench/sport pair with a new bike. "RS" I think. I have always thought mine was a nice aftermarket replica. This weekend while working on some electrics, I removed the seat and not...

Re: BIKINI COCKPIT FAIRING
I have seen one on an 8 " headlight but there has to be a slight addition. The inside flange pushes up against the glass and is part of the mounting. Get a small, SMALL, diameter rubber air hose and slit it lengthwise. It can be slipped over the fairings flange and act like a gasket against the...

Re: BIKINI COCKPIT FAIRING
The fairing you show is for a 7 inch headlight. Beside Vanzen's comment, the fairing, even used is very very expensive if it's in any kind of good condition. I like mine because, with Euro bars, I find the wind is more stabilized and less buffeting........but certainly does you no good in a storm. F...

Re: RockerArmBearings
I am really, really, really grateful for your trouble. No. Nothing went anywhere except into my workshop towel. The previous owner hasn't impressed me with his mechanical skills so I suspect they are on HIS garage floor. I can't impose on you(And I don't know what PM is or how to do it) so I'll be co...

Thanks, your effort would be appreciated. I would hate to tear things apart too many times. TJ
