kick start

Spyed on a photo of a 94 R100 for sale here in OZ a kickstart lever ,I know that the last of airheads were a bit of a parts-bin special but would they of dug this deep in the bin when my bike a 95R100 has starter-motor only or has it another box fitted?

My 95 R100 had 8.5 comp standard pistons I installed a 336 cam a while back which is a great cam but realy shines from about 5500 to 7700 rpm,I rarely use those revs anymore so I put back the standard 308 cam and bought a pair of 9.5 comp high performance Wossner pistons from motoren-israel there li...

The sump on my 95 R100 loked a bit damp so I thought I would change the gasket,on dropping the sump I found a small pin about 1/2" long by 1/16', on reaching for my Haynes I saw it was the locating pin for the front bearing.I have,nt had the sump off for about 4 years and never had the front be...

I should of said the bike will be used for touring so I will try it leaving the 336 in with the smaller valves and the standard 40mm bings.When the pistons arrive whats a good way of measuring the depth of the valve cut-outs against the standard BM piston,I want to measure off the gudgeon pin (wrist...

On my 95 R100 Ive fitted a 336 cam and nice extracter and sports muffler in place of the standard collector box,anyway its goes well strong from 4000 thou up.But now Ive got a pair of earlier heads with 44mm inlet valves(mine are 42mm)Im thinking of trying them on but first I,ll put back the stanard...
