Thanks for the reply's, fellers. My BMW guru buddy concurs with y'all's diagnosis. Rather than do any re-wiring, I think I'll just find the standard BMW relay online. Meanwhile I will just ride it!

I'm new to German bikes. Got a '76 R90/6 and got it up and running, and really like it. One oddity... the turn signal indicator light sometimes stays on.
