And hi, I'm a horses ass. I bumped the kill switch apparently. Also the gauges were just a loose connection that I tightened up. I feel stupid. But I'm happy too because now I can ride!

Hey guys. I replaced the rotor and that was the problem. Everything was up and running great until this morning. I went out to the bike to start it. It turned over maybe two times and just went dead. Oh, and I also pulled out the brush and it's still over 10mm. The book I have says 8mm is when to service so I don't think that's the problem. Also where it touches is nice and shiny.

Wow, tons of great responses here. Thanks guys. I do not get a GEN light at all. I took apart the cluster and tested the bulb and it's good so that's not the problem. I'm going to try that penny trick suggested. I also did order a replacement rotor hoping/thinking/assuming that's the problem.
