MS, Can you point me to a source of the "colored bands" so I can get more info? Not famailiar with it.

Duane,, so "forma gauge" may be out. Is that your personal prefrence or is it generaly known to be a inferior method? Have you ever used it?

Thanks for the responce, I will give it a whril. Not much to loose! As far as the end play shims, I plan on using Ed Korns "form a gauge" or what ever that Playdough stuff is called. I would also add that some of the collection of cases and parts were from modified transmissions for use in...
