Yet another slide show

Post by dwerbil »

Me, bbelk, and Jack on the road at Big Bend, one day's photo account. I kept the
photo edit rough. Temps at sunrise start was just above freezing. Big sky out there.
We're going again in January. Texas winter, or lack there of. Couple songs
from Death Cab For Cutie, then Jesse Colin Young.

Big Bend, was a very geologic active region with up to seven volcanoes belching and spewing. On the video, at 8:19, the distant range is a collapsed volcano, the Chisos Basin. The BB national headquarters is inside there along with campground.

Thanks Randy, for the chance to ride with you and see all those strange american landforms. In Australia we have very few lumps that look like plateaus, mesas or buttes. Most lumps are just that - lumps. Our last volcanic action was something like 12 million years ago. There are a still a few volcanic plugs poking up like erect nipples. I like them a lot.

Damn! Randy! I play your videos for the music, if nothing else.

Looks great on the TV! I also enjoyed the one that played up next, hiking in Colorado.

Got some Jesse Colin Young and some Paul Winter coming from the library. Thanks for reminding me! :D
