But you don't have to be happy about it. He has done good work for me but I will not take a chance that he could delay a project for so long. Too bad.

Just spoke to Bruno last evening and yup....he's up to his neck in repair work. He had problems with some of the major farm equipment on the farm to get it ready for spring planting and also he had bronchitis which knocked him on his ass for a few weeks...so everything lined up now and his doing the best he can getting all the machine shop work as best can.

He told me unfortunately everyone has to be patient and he will get the work done. That's all I can tell you now.

PS: he did say to apologize for his lack of communication but when juggling more than 3 balls in the air something had to give eh.

moosehead wrote:I personally known Bruno over the past 20 years and he has done lots of work for myself and friends...always top notch quality. He lived in Kitchener/Waterloo area here in Ontario and his machine shop was in the garage behind the house.

Then he decided about 10 years ago he wanted to farm, own some land etc so he bought a farm in the middle of nowhere (Iron Bridge) and set about farming....it really is his first love....come spring and summer he does not do too much in the machine shop so you best bet is send repair parts to him late fall/early winter when he focuses on this repair work.

Bruno is a "different" kind of guy. Very humble and personable about his machine repair work but since he moved farming became his passion. Besides cattle he raises the big draft horses...Pergerons being his favourite....and keeping the Bears from going after his castle or horses.

He gets behind no doubt but I've never experienced lack of communication back from him...wonder if all is well in his life? He's been a bachelor for years but when I went for a visit a few years ago he had a lovely lady sharing the farm house for him. :o

Do you know Al Blanchard?
Perhaps I could give him a call and see what's happening....just to check things out...I'll let you know if I can find where thugs are at. So stay tuned and hopefully I can find out. Haven't talk to him in past year so curious as to what's up.

Yeah, that was a faster laugh that watching Al sing about another month bites the dust.

I to have been trying to contact Bruno in regards to having my ring gear splines repaired by him,,,,,,,, this thread seems to have been dropped in July or so but I am wondering if any of you guys have ever gotten your parts back repaired or not.
On the other hand, has anybody heard anything about whether or not he is still working on these things at all?

So, if he is not then I would like to hear of any other options for having this work done in Canada,,, I would really rather not send part out of country if I can possibly help it,,,,,, I have found a phone number for Al Blanchard in Port Hope but there seems to be some problem with it, and I can't get through.

Any update on Bruno or other help in this respect would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

His web site is still up, so your best option is to drop him an email. That said, someone on ADVRider said he had cancer and was in/out of the hospital. After 9 months of waiting I gave up and asked him to return my parts unrebuilt, which he did, but there were no answers to any of my calls or emails for months. I have sent Hansen's BMW in Oregon three spline jobs in the last year. Excellent work and a two week turnaround every time... http://www.hansensmc.com/
