All,

Wanted to introduce myself. Fellow BMW Airhead addict.
Unfortunately my old athletic injuries make it difficult for me to ride but I still pain thru it.
I've owned several Airheads including 60/2, R100/7, '81 R100RS, '86 R80RT, '84 R100RT.

Sold my bikes a few years ago and purchasing today a one owner 1982 R100RT w/54K miles - Grey original paint, original tool kit, manuals and the owner took loving care of it.

*I'll be sure to post some photos over the next few days.

Regards from Seattle wa.

Welcome! But as you should know, without a pic, it didn't happen. If you are unsure how to post a pic, the best way is on a photo hosting site which are free. A little time spent setting this up can make your time spent here more useful, and less frustrating. And unlike the rest of the internet, everything posted here is 100% correct, except when it is wrong.

Just picked up the bike an hour ago - it's a 1983 R100RT in really beautiful unmolested condition - here are a couple of quick phone pics and hope to get some better photos soon. The bike in background is my 1983 R100RT needing some work.

**Having trouble uploading photos - says they are too big - i'll figure it out

What photo sharing service are you using?

i don't have a photo-sharing service setup - having been a member of the porsche forum "rennlist" for the past 15 years and uploading large files for years - i can't understand why the images i am uploading are too big but i'll get a photo service going.
"Texer" i appreciate the invite and will attend a get together in a few weeks - health issues with my mom and i leave town for a week and very busy with the kids.

That's a very nice looking bike, and an excellent tourer.
Please keep it out of the hands of the molesters who would have it stripped and turned into a pos cafe/brat/tracker/useless machine.
These bikes are fast disappearing.
