New Purchase -> 1995 R100RT 19K miles

Post by picturethis »

Wow I'm having a hard time holding back my excitement. Just purchased late last night, after a few martini's, a really nice one owner 95 R100RT w/19K miles. Grey 2 tone paint and it is in showroom condition. All books/tools and fully serviced.

This is the younger brother to my 1983 R100RT which is also grey in color.

I've been looking for one of these last year "Classics" and very hard to find. Seeing how my 23rd Anniversary is in a few days, I figured I owed it to myself for all I've endured :-) ....good thing my wife is not over my shoulder.

I'll post more photo when bike arrives in 2 weeks

Regards to all!

Sweet! really nice one. I"m a big fan of the late model air heads. They solved a lot of the issues (charging, handling etc.). Good luck with it!

Did you happen to get this from a guy in Kentucky named "Ernest"? From his near-constant "wanted" ad, and occasional "for sale" ad, on the IBMWR site, Ernest has made a minor cottage industry out of flipping this particular model/year/paint scheme of RT. In the unlikely event that the bike doesn't quite do it for you, Ernie always seems to be looking for acquisitions.

Those bikes need a lot of evaluating and fixing. Send it to me for providing that service. We have nice riding weather in CA and you probably don't. Don't make a big deal of this, I am just that kind of guy, always helping others.

Thanks to all - I've been looking for this exact bike for quite sometime. The last one I considered purchasing was in Texas - A 1995, same color with 56K miles and some minor damage to fairing. Seller was firm at $5700 which was on the high side and the bike was a bit rough with lots of scratches/etc and no service history.

I've seen some 1988-1989 monoshock R100RT's but no great colors for me and high miles. Many I have seen for sale are red or orange. And I really wanted the final year of R100RT production.

I got lucky to find this one and will get lots of photos posted when the bike arrives - Should be here in 2 weeks. being shipped enclosed carrier.

Regards to all.
