84 R100S
So I'm finally out there riding my R100 after a lot of maintenance procedures. I've been taking short rides then inspecting my work. Today I was heading out for a longer ride (200 klms) and noticed oil on the shop floor under the swing arm. I checked the skinny hose clamps on the rubber boot and they were loose, though I'm sure they were tight when I re-assembled everything. So before my ride, I drained the drive shaft, and was down about 20 ml. I refilled the swing arm with 100ml of gear oil. My owners manual says it should take 150ml, but I have written a note to only use 100ml. I can't remember why I wrote this. Anybody know anything about this? So now I'm back from my ride and no leak. Should I lock tite the hose clamp threads? Bike is performing as it should, easily pulling red line, and stable on long downhills with hands off.

Leak fixed but why?
Any and all disclaimers may apply
Re: Leak fixed but why?
For clamping screws, I have never heard of any backing off and loosening.
Check them again in 1 or 200 km. If one or both is loose, lock tite.
I don't know about your note.

Duane was a proponent of less oil in the driveshaft as ok.
