1983 r80rt side stand

Pictures attached of my 1983 r80rt.
Is it the correct one? Or after market?

I thought the Surefoots had some length adjustment feature. This site shows a Surefoot for the '81-84 R80 series:

mine does not have a length adjustment, also the the bolt that holds the stand to the mount is a bit short!. maybe an old model?

The flat steel footpiece shows it as an older model. newer ones are length adjustable and are better. The old ones are better than oem too.

It looks to me as though you are trying to fit the stand to the front engine stud. As far as I can see, it should attach at the rear engine stud...

Yep, the engine bolt goes thru the hole just forward of its body and the long tube bracket seats around the frame forward of it.
