Krauser S Set rack - blinker mounts

Post by Steve78RS »

Hi folks

Has anyone a photo of the Krauser S Set (die cast aluminium) blinker mounts. Just the small tube thingy that inserts into the blinker. See what I'm talking about below.

I've lost my originals and I'd like to make up a new set. Some scale would be appreciated.

Thanks 2Valve

Yes I have the two arms that the blinkers are attached to. Thanks for the offer.

Fabricated Mounts?

Post by Ken in Oklahoma »

If it turns out that you have to fabricate the turn signal stalk, I can tell you that the tubing used for the BMW fork mounted turn signal stalks (and the tubing used other places) will tap nicely with a 1/2" x 20 TPI tap. Modify a bolt by drilling a hole through the center for the wires and you've got a mount of sorts. And you've already got the notches for the turn signal housing.

Also, light fixtures use 1/2 x 20 TPI hollow threaded rod for holding light globes and other applications. Fabrication potential is there too.

Thanks Ken

Simple really after reading your advice.

10mm bolt drilled out. Purchased a 10mm coupling (see below)

Then attach to frame like so.

And hey presto we have a more than functional replacement for the OEM set that I foolishly lost.
