Bought 6' of #4 welding cable for $11. (I used less than 4'.)
About $2 for shrink tubing and solder.
And no shipping.
I cleaned up and re-used the BMW terminals as they were still solid.
Have not tried them yet.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.
Notice how much more flexible the welding cable is compared to the original? Far superior stuff. I get lots for free, but most of it is too large for cars. I do make up some bitchen jumper cables for friends.

Nice work Doug. One will usually find that in addition to welding cable being far more flexible than the OEM stuff; mostly due to the quality of the "twisting" of the strands and their diameter, additionally most cable available for welding use is rated for a good range of chemical exposure. - Ironically, a lot of OEM cables' insulator's are far less impervious to chemical exposure, including gas and oil than one might think or desire for such an application...
I can see the requests for custom cables coming in already Oh, yeah - see above.
