
#7 in the diagram.
Diagram shows the ball (on #8) as removeable from #7 in the same way as with #4.
On my gearbox that ball is nicely riveted to #7. It looks original.
Is that normal or did I get a factory freak?
Don't think so. My linkage is just like #8 above. And it has those cute little wire clips to keep the balls in their sockets.ME 109 wrote:Could it be an after market connector?

Make sure you remove the little wire clip before pulling the socket off the ball.
