And good fuel line.

Some folks have gone to modern fuel line.
I like the looks of the braided so well, I choose to replace it every 3 years.

I agree...especially on the older bikes. But they certainly don't last long. I pinch the ends and if I find cracks, I replace.

I have had pretty good luck with braided fuel line.

Perhaps it is because I ride mostly in Canada and we keep our corn liquor for sipping and don't waste it in the gas tank. :D

I posted a thread on a Karcoma mod that I did last year. My plastic straws were damaged so I used copper/brass (I forget which) model aero fuel pipes as a more permanent replacement. The staws from my 78 RS are 90 and 30mm respectively (see below)

Thanks Steve, good to know. I put together two good petcocks for him and they are working well. I had enough spares to put it all together properly. One of my spare Karcomas did have brass straws.

Yeah - those Aussies got a lotta brass. ;)
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

In the old days, the straws were all copper.
