How did the water get into my R80 gearbox oil ?

Thanks Duane , in this case it was rather obvious , the oil was a slight emulsion and a little milky .The drive shaft oil was VERY milky .

I still haven't worked out how the water got into my drive shaft but I've put a temporary tape around the speedo cable boot .It has to be temporary ....it's bright yellow !

I oils add to Duane's advice: after heavy rain or washing the bike, drop the float bowls and empty the water out

I keep the speedo cable boot full of grease to keep water out.
