/5 &/6 Alloy shockie Sleeves

Post by boxertwinjeff »

I would really like a pair of those Polished Alloy Sleeves with the 3 grooves on them
to go on my new Ikon shocks, though it appears they are only for /6 models & the R90S.
Is that right? Did they come standard on those models?, and can you get them for /5s,
their a nice subtle touch of Bling.

Motorworks do a stainless copy specifically for Ikons:

To fit Ilona you need to enlarge the hole in the cover to fit, so normal SS ones can be made to fit

hi to all. boxertwinjeff, i had a set made up to suit my konis when i built the bike , but mine are made out of marine grade alloy. by memory the origianl bmw sleeves off the shocks did not fit over the konis ( id of the shrouds was to small to fit over the koni springs ) . also by memory it didnt cost much to get made plus there still alloy as oe on the bike. well thats my two cents worth
