I am looking for opinions, experiences, warnings and just general thoughts on brake light modulators, there is probably one in my near-future.
This is silly-expensive BUT no harness-cutting and 8 different flash-modes.

Re: /5 brake light modulators
It is "silly expensive," but, when you compare the price to separate brake modulators, and good LED tail lights, it doesn't compare that bad.

The reviews of it that I've found say it's a good product (amazingly bright and effective) with REALLY BAD customer-service, the biggest issue seems to be a conflict with the BMW Canbus system and (for some reason) I suspect my /5 will not have any Computer-issues with one.

Yes, your /5 barely has electricity.Unclviny wrote:The reviews of it that I've found say it's a good product (amazingly bright and effective) with REALLY BAD customer-service, the biggest issue seems to be a conflict with the BMW Canbus system and (for some reason) I suspect my /5 will not have any Computer-issues with one.

Re: /5 brake light modulators
I have one of the Beacon 1's on my /7.
It's very bright. It's not a modulator but it's bright enough that I don't think I need one.
I've been very happy with it over the last 5 years.

I have a Beacon 2 on my R65. I like it better than the OP suggestion in that it does away with the weak link of the bulb socket connection.BoxerTwin wrote:I have one of the Beacon 1's on my /7.

My Hyperlights do the rest. http://www.hyperlites.com/
I have a total of $134 invested between the two.
