I've just bought an '87 mono R65.
The previous owner stopped using it last month when the tank sprang another leak, and I'm waiting on a replacement tank being sprayed up.
Meanwhile although I haven't started it, the engine turns over on the button and all lights and turn signals etc. work, but what concerns me is that with the ignition on I get a bright neutral light and oil light, but the generator light only glows.
PO assures me the bike runs fine and reckons the glowing gen light never caused any symptoms he was aware of, but I'd still like to find out what's causing it.

Dirty or worn out brushes.
Resitance in the alt rotor too high.
Wrong bulb.
