So the wording of the Omega sheet is a little off. 1.8 to 5.0 ohms (type W) is per coil not total. Total resistance in this case will be 1.1ohms (two 12 volt 2.2ohm dual output coils) according to the parallel circuit formula. R total=R1/# of resistors or 1.1=2.2/2
The rating is per output: 1.8OHm upwards on Z1, 1.8Ohm and upwards on Z2. That can be achieved by wiring two 6V coils in series acheving a combined Ohm resistance of 3Ohm or by using a dual coil rated at 12 and 2.2Ohm. So it is NOT per coil!
They are no "in parallel" considerations. There is no total resistance between the two outputs. These are two independent amplifier circuits inside the silver amplifier, each of them rated to accept coil(s) with minimum of 1.8Ohm resistance.
