Well, you might want to turn it back to a RS first . . . .
And convert to a twin shock frame, swingarm, and forks . . . .
And paint your new snowflake wheels gold . . . .
Oh, and I think there are some impossible to get John Player decals . . . .
My advice, keep that '87 RS to S bike, buy any twin shock airhead, and convert it to a JPS and only ride it at night.
Also, we're gonna need a looooong thread as you document your work going from before to after. Plus, throw us a bone or two and ask a few questions--even if you already know the answers. And finally, when it's done, invite us up to see it and offer us an assortment of beer from Canada's finest microbrewrys.
Veg will come to drink the brew for sure, even if he gives you no advice at all.
Ken
Okay. Nevermind.
Let's just drink the beer. ;)
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

The JPS conversion has already been done in BC, Canada.

Bill even made the badges after making a mold from an original badge. Beautiful job.
My JPS has been crash damaged and repainted, but today I saw one in all it's original glory, patina an' all.

My favourite colour scheme remains the flying blood clot.

Surprised the Vincent on The Just Bikes site has lasted for over a day a day at $50,000- $80,000- is the usual asking price in Oz.
Pity I dont get my hands on my Superannuation for a couple of weeks------.

Well I'm going to hang onto this one I recently picked up at a, ahem, remarkable price i.e. a steal. 1977 R100 RS, all original, 59,000 kms, PO had for 29 years and looked after this one...he's German and anal and neat...plus we became friends and future riding companions over the deal.

Everything looked after on the bike extemely well and was meticulously cared for.

Pick up day...I'm happy to say the least

And home...

Steering head bearings were knacked so just replaced them

She really pulls strong...guess those big heads, high compression, squish band pistons do make a difference! It outpulls my 82 RS...or so it seems. Have to get rid of one so I think the 82 will be going...maybe should try selling in Victoria at $6000 or so...ha ha
