Michellin pilot activ

Anyone tried the new pilot activ from Michellin?

4:00 x 18 part number 22600
19 x 3.25 part number 19883

I'm a BIG fan of the 'no longer available' michellin Mac50 rear. I think the last one in Australia is on my bike.
Michellin claim the new pilot activs will last 20% longer.
I'm running the Mac50 rear tubeless to see if I was dreaming, thinking that I got 13,000 k's out of my first mac 15 years ago.
7,000 k's has been the average for a mac with a tube for me.

Interested to hear any reports :ugeek:

Don't worry, I have tested the tubeless rear flake two up in the mountains with about 10 psi. It din come off.
BTW, it's a pilot Activ thread, but carry on regardless with the tread degradation.

I liked the Macadam a lot also.
This time I am trying Bridgestone BT45's.
I will be interested in hearing about the new Michelin.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

I found the bt 45 rear to hang on as well as the Mac, but the 45 goes in the same basket as the me77 as far as flattening off.
The last tyre I had was a pirelli sport demon, it hung on ok but it wore very poorly. Ime.
I'm gonna ring a Melbourne motorcycle tyre dealer today and see if they have stocks yet.

Looking at the new Michelin front with a centre groove, I don't think the freeway rain grooves will do it justice.

I rang the tyre shop and they now stock the pilot activ front and rear. $140 front and rear.
That's $30 cheaper than a Mac50.
