Prices for the old cad-plated stuff (/2 especially) can be pretty crazy. I saw two /2 upper shock bolts with the correct KAMAX markings go for $58.00 on eBay a couple of months ago. AND, they needed re-plating.
I have some of those somewhere amomgst my junk highly valued spares.
Just don't use stainless where higher torque and heat are issues. It's a different animal and will behave differently than the softer steel that is used on regular bolts.

That's what we like to see here Chuey, COMMON SENSE!
Ya don't need stainless rod cap bolts because the normal bolts are oiled quite often and won't rust anyhowz!
Not Sure of the plating but LOWE"S and Orchard had metric hardwear wave washers, flats, nuts, lock nuts and bolts mostly regular nut head hardwear that tuned a nice dull gray
the 5mm bolts several from 25mm long to 100mm long with a flanged head
the Socket head I get from Love Lady Hardwear, recently they run low on the zinc or Cad........but I can order
most of the already mentioned carries a Stainless assortment
Amazingly, Lowes' has cadmium-plated wave washers in 5, 6, sometimes 8, 10, and 12 mm, and most are marked "made in Germany." Unfortunately, their hex nuts are zinc plated and come from Asia.
