And, my comment would be....how did all that style get there without at least the benefit of rearsets?

Chuey
I think it is a horn, too. With a suicide wish. (Sorry - perhaps I should be in Fiamm sales.)

And Chuey, if it had rearsets, the rider's foot would block the effectiveness (sic) of the horn.
Looks like some kind of tank to me, seems to have a cap on it.

No, sorry, should have been more clear. I meant a silvery looking deal that looks like a cap, near the front of the back tire.

Steve's seeing it the same way I am. As I said, I think it's a tool box. Some bikes have tubular tool boxes like that with a cap on the end.

OK, I see why you guys are saying that, but what I see that must be what you're seeing as a tool box is the forward part of the swing arm. If you look closely at what looks like a cap, it seems to have a mounting bolt at six o'clock. If there was a tool box there, or a tank,.........well, there wouldn't be room in my estimation.

Looks like the tank is a different color and one does not have a tax disc. (We are an anal bunch, aren't we ! Now you see why I posted "w/out comment").

Isn't this the same bike on the right? Image

It almost has to be the same bike:

·same perforated box under the gearbox
·same bobbed front fender
·same chrome rear fender
·same tread pattern on the front tire
·I think I can see the same small "vanzen" type stop light on the silver-tanked one, too.

The tanks may have been switched on the two bikes in the bottom picture. The black tank has the tool box, can't really tell about the silver tank.

What fun!

No, handlebars are different, at the least. (Edit) Oops, I was thinking you meant the bike with the black tank. I was thinking "on the right" from the viewpoint of a rider on the bikes. I think that is the same bike. So, you're saying that what I was thinking is a horn is a tax disc?

No Chuey, the tax disc is on the left fork leg of the original picture, taken from the left rear quarter.

What the heck is a tax disc anyway? Do not the current tags on the license plate show the taxes have been paid?

Looks like a reflector to me. But what do I know. Very little.
