R80RT Brake Light

I began having issues with an LED tail light and replaced it with the original light. It has been a long time since this bike has had the original light and I seem to have forgotten the original configuration. When only the tail light is on does only the bottom light burn? Then when the brake is applied the top bulb and bottom bulb burns? I thought the top bulb was a dual filament and also burned as a tail light. That doesn't seem to be happening on my bike. Any illumination (pun intended) would be appreciated!

Oh yeah, it is a 1985 R80RT.

If that is the larger two bulb unit, both bulbs are single filament. On mine.

Thanks! I just thought the tail light would be brighter. Maybe that is why I went to LED years ago@
