I am getting 25 km/l from my carbed 91 Yamaha xt600, 70 miles to the imperial gallon or about 60 per US gallon, and that is better than I managed with the injected F650GS, which didnt do much better than my 75/7.
Tyres lasted a lot longer, but I suppose they dont get much wear on the back of a brakdown recovery truck-----.

Re: Brand new F650
My machinist friend here at work has one of the later, fuel injected singles and loves it. He keeps saying I need to get one, but for the same money I could get an R80GS. Actually I wish I could get an R65GS. I wonder if they have any more stashed away in Denmark.

There was one for sale down your way this past summer. I think it was an R65 engine in an R80GS frame. It was nicley done.enigmaT120 wrote: Actually I wish I could get an R65GS. I wonder if they have any more stashed away in Denmark.
