R80RT

Post by Bob Distelcamp »

Hi, I have a R80RT mono-shock, The fiberglass on the tail section has a crack on the left
side. What is the best way to fix it. About 6" forward of the grab handle. I know that it's common
for this to brake, But I would like to fix it now, Then later.
I will try to send a photo

Thanks Bob

First thing is to drill a tiny (1/16") hole at the end of the crack to stop it from cracking further.

our riding season will start soon. Send me the motorcycle for repair and testing.

I use this stuff, works really well. In high stress areas I use fiberglass cloth as the backing for the repair. Even comes with a little video to show you how to use.
