My flight to Dallas is booked for tuesday morning, the BMW /5 is ready and I get to ride it home! I am overdue for some "2 wheeled therapy", I just wish I could find a non-super-slab route from Dallas to Houston but there sure does not seem to be one.

Not if you were to go via Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
I'm sure you'd have a few good choices for the roads, and you could take lots of pictures and tell us all about your trip.

I played with Google-Maps last night and I figured out an (almost) "slab free" route home, it's only about 50 more miles.

She handles a lot better, he said EVERYTHING in the front-end was loose.
She certainly revs easier than before but I seem to be a little shy of the top-end I used to have and he richened things up so the mileage is down.
He did a complete Fork-job, replacing the rubber-bumpers and replacing my old Progressive springs with BMW Sport springs. Replaced all of the cables (I had them already). Carb rebuilds. new (Noris) points. Thunderchild Diode board (I supplied it). Replaced the Regulator (the mounting tab was almost broken-off). Un-LED'd the turn signals (that was a bad idea on my part). Replaced the fork and seat locks (I had repops). Greased the Trans input splines. Replaced ALL the gaskets and Installed a /7 Breather all for under $1,200.00.
