I have an early /6 (no headlight relay) and am adding a relay (the matchbox relay)
Question - what is the purpose of the Red (unswitched - always hot) wire going to the left (headlight/horn) handlebar switch? (Pin 30 on my diagram)
Did the "flash" function (down) always work on that switch, regardless if the key was on?
That's the only think I can figure out since some cars do that too.
Mine doesn't work like taht so it's been altered/changed/broke at some point.

Re: Always Hot (pin 30) in Headlight switch
I seem to remember that the flash worked even with the switch off. Someone please go check if I remember correctly. It could be a European safety requirement.
Personally, I like finding an "always hot" terminal in the headlight shell.

Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.
Re: Always Hot (pin 30) in Headlight switch
I am thinking that this has to be the case since there's also a switched hot to the headlamp switch.
I'll have the always hot going to the relay main power in and then a switched hot feeding the relays themselves.
Thanks Duane
