The turn signals on my 74 R90/6 don't blink. Pulled the unit from the headlight shell and opened the case, played with the gap on the pull circuit, worked a bit better, but no cigar. Checked the fiche and found 2 relays, one under general electrical called a hazard relay for about $27.00 and the other in the headlight picture called a hazard relay for $94.00. Are they the same or am I required to buy the most expensive unit.
thanks,

Re: Turn signal relay FIXED!!
Well. played with the relay, checked the components and everything looked, good, no shorted transistors or capicitors. messed with the relay gaps and no change, it just vibrated. Found a link to a thread discussing possible bad grounds, so I cleaned the main wiring ground, placed a nice star washer at the point of contact to frame. No change!!!. So then I resoldered all the connections on the PCB for all the components, installed it back into the bike and it blinked like it should have.

What's all this talk about violins on tv?
What's all this fuss I hear about endangered feces?
What's all this fuss I hear about making Puerto Rico a steak?
What's all this fuss I hear about 1976 presidential erections?
What's all this fuss I hear about pouring money into canker research?
When Jane Curtin called her phone:
Hello, this is Emily Litella. I'm not home right now. But I will call you back as soon as possible. Just leave your name, number, and what time you called, after you hear the sound of the jeep.

Re: Turn signal relay
I bought the cheaper part, it's solid state and works, (worked until I dumped the bike) just great. Let me get the part number for you if you still need it.jagarra wrote:The turn signals on my 74 R90/6 don't blink.
