Just took the Multistrada out for a ride
I'm impressed. Very comfy, very fast, excellent brakes, electronic suspension adjustment Ohlins back and front, sure footed handling, 3rd gear wheelies with just the throttle. I'm sure bikes will get better, but so far that's the best road touring bike I've ridden. Could have used some more flywheel, and not a very good looking machine....IMNSHO

I tested one of the earlier model multistrada's...everything was great, except the seat. Just atrocious and whilst I wasn't looking to buy, just wasting some time, it sure would've had me looking elsewhere.
As for the appearance, I seem to remember the 80g/s got some poor reviews on that basis, but these days almost everyone wants one.

Nah, but they're rattly as all get out up to just over 3K rpm.Ross wrote:Did it break down? Did the clutch fall out?

3. Dry clutches only rattle when the clutch lever is pulled in - with the clutch engaged, there is nothing to rattle.SteveD wrote:Nah, but they're rattly as all get out up to just over 3K rpm.Ross wrote:Did it break down? Did the clutch fall out?
2. If one has the appropriate Termignoni exhaust, the exquisite sound of the engine pretty much drowns out that sound.
AND, the Number One reason that a rattling dry clutch should not bother you on a Multistrada:
The Multistrada has a wet clutch.

PLEASE! One must judge the Multistrada's appearance by how it compares to the previous model Multistrada. By this standard, it is absolutely GORGEOUS, as the earlier generation Multi was an abomination.Zombie Master wrote:...and not a very good looking machine....IMNSHO

Yep, that was the one I test rode. The new one has a style heading towards the modern gs's. The engine seemed rattly until it had some revs in it...nuthin' to do with the clutch.

The old model is nothing like the new one. Seat on the new one seem great for 2 hours.

Not anymore! I'm hearing excellent reports on reliability and reduced maintenance requirements. Still nothings cheap about owning a Duck.
