You should have 4 pieces. Looks like you have them. They can all zip together as one bag.
The base plate.
The main bottom compartment. Tall and stiff sides.
The extender compartment (usually seldom used and looks newer than the rest)
The upper compartment, with map sleeve.
They also come with a bright orange rain cover as an option.
You may find that the lower compartment deteriorates because the stiff sides are actually a cardboard. They crack and worsen, usually around where the zip finishes, right side. I'm unsure how you'd fix that?
I have one, though not quite exactly the same. They were made for different tank shapes I think, eg R series v K series.
A couple follow ups... The blue inside piece. I don't understand how that zips to anything. It seems like I'm missing a piece that should zip to it as a lid, inside the main case (under the map pocket).
Any idea if the 'RE' marking means anything?
The leather is in pretty good condition. If I can get the fabric color restored and the leather restitched it should look great!
