1. Disconnect the torque arm from the caliper.
2. Loosen the axle clamp nut at the end of the swing-arm brake side.
3. Caliper should now swing to where the nipple is highest.
4. Proceed with bleed.
Darryl. I had the same problem after rebuilding MY R100s rear brake cylinder this past winter. I wore myself out pumping the pedal and reaching over the seat to operate the bleed screw.
Finally I figured a way to wedge the pedal down (like tieing the front lever!) as hard as I could and left it. As I was going skiing for a week, THAT was no problem. When I got back, the brakes worked FINE.
Overnight is probably enough.

Followed your advice and brake pedal feels great now.
After reading this thread a couple of times and considering how many of our buds are from original English-speaking cultures, I think a LOT of stuff on our R100's are identified with the adjective "bleedin'".
As in.. " the bleedin' gen light stays on all the time!"
So the thread subject really should be "Bleeding the bleedin' Rear MC on my RS......."
I could go on and on...

Hey, it got fixed, din it?
And when I did it, you can be sure I called the system a LOT more than "bleedin"...I think that's why I recognized the subject line was just SOOOOOO inadequate.
