(The 700 isn't listed on the BMW Canada site.)
Both have 800cc engine but the F700GS is a new model derived from the F650 which also has an 800cc engine.
Why BMW thinks it can call 650 and 700 models with 800cc engines, would require wearing lederhosen.
It's worse than that.
They had a 650 called the F650GS, and everything was fine.
Then they built the 800cc motor and built two different GS's with it: the F800GS and the F650GS (which was a detuned version of the F800GS with lower suspension and smaller front wheel). They changed the name of the 650cc F650GS to the G650GS.
NOW they have upped the power of the 800cc F650GS (now 10 HP lower than the F800GS instead of 15 HP lower) and renamed it the F700GS.
The 800 650 has already been upped to a 700, although still the same. If you up the new 800 700 to 800 how will you be able to tell it from the current 800 800? Would you change the current 800 800 to 900?

The "G650GS"?
Now that I'm totally confused...
I'm glad I bought an R1200GS so I don't have to try and keep track of all that nonsense.
