Honda makes an interesting bike - Honda NC700X

My R1100 Oilhead is 1085 cc. My K75 is 740cc. My R50/2 was 494cc (at least close). My Honda 500 Ascot is 491

Triumph Daytona 675 is 675 cc.

The 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R is 1441cc.

WE ARE GETTING SCREWED!



Edit: I am NOT saying I'd trade any of my current bikes for my old Z1 though, no matter how great that motor was.

Lets not forget that the R 100 is supposed to be 1,000 cc's, but it's not. It's 980 cc per A&S's website.

It's just a marketing gimmick. BMW cars used to indicate the size of the motor (e.g. 325, 750, etc). The 325 had a 2.5 liter six and the 750 has either a 5.0 liter v-12 (if older) or a 5.0 v8 (if newer). In the late 90's, BMW dropped the 318 and replaced it with the 323. They two models a 328 and 323. The 323 had a 2.5 liter six and the 328 had 2.8 liter six. I think they dropped it to 323 to make it appear to be a smaller motor. The 2.5 liter six is low compression engine that runs on regular gas, while the 2.8 litter six is a high compression engine that runs on premium. At least that's how I remember it. I've been told the current 328 can have a turbocharged four cyclinder. It looks likes things are changing in more ways than one.
