Historical precedent is that the GS often gets a new motor (or major improvement) a year before the rest of the line. Some models may end up even two years behind the GS. The R1200R was 2 years behind the GS - the 1150 was 1 year behind.hal wrote:Is it so that the r1200r won't get the new engine yet?

MS - out

I also like the new engine better than its forebear. Having the clutch on the front of the engine will make it much easier to service, I'm told that the gearbox is made in Japan, so it could be that the gear change is greatly improved. The whole frame structure to the rear of the engine looks great.
I have a feeling that the reviews will be very good indeed and that the bike will be a sellout
