calling gearbox experts, need help

Post by 2valve »

hi to all, will a early (1973/974 ?) gears / shafts / rear end cover fit into / onto a 1975 on gearbox case ? or is the early box's completely different inside than others years ? i was informed that the early 1973/ 74 gear mechanism was a bit of a nightmare comparing to the 1975 on. any help appreciated

You can find answers to these and more on the Internet.

Are you asking if a late /5 4 speed stuff will be useful on a 5 speed box? No. It is a completely different transmission.
