Pictures of instrument mounting please!

Post by hal »

Hi all,

I'm in the progress of loosing my Pichler fairing and are wondering how to mount the instrument housing. Can any of you get me so I get a clue? I suspect there should be a bracket between the tripple tree and the housing. Maybe motorworks can get it for me?

Any help appreciated!
And oh yeah - it's a late 73 R90/6
Cheers
Hal

You will need all the parts #4 - #14 in this fiche. Make sure you get the short version for naked bikes. There are taller ones available for bikes with fairings. Also part #2 needs a longer front stud, if it doesn't have one already. Image

I have one from a R100RS. The pn is different from the /6.

If someone could confirm that it'd fit and work you could have it for the cost of p&h (from Oz though). It might be worth watching ebay.de.

Yeah, that's a taller one, suitable for RS and RT. The short one is about half that tall, but the mounting points are the same.

The pn's are different for the RS and RT. Is the RT one taller again I wonder?

Probably so, I've seen three different sizes. Does the RT have a dash pad?

There is one version for the RS that is tall and had the handlebars attach through the forward holes in the upper triple tree clamp. The RT version is also tall but mounts through the back set of hole. The /6, /7, S bracket is low and mounts to the rear holes as well.
