petcocks
petcocks
The petcocks of a 1985 R80 have two plastic tubes inside the screen. One is longer than the other, for reserve I suppose. These tubes have broken. Can they be replaced and if so what with? BTW what is a good way to rinse out a gas tank?

Re: petcocks
Very good article about cleaning. I annually flush flush my tank with water after removing the petcocks. Clean the petcoks well. Let the tank airdry and maybe put some Condens-remover (alcohol) in. I alllways top up the tank when it's sitting for some time (winter). So far this works fine.

Go down to your local Ace Hardware or hobby shop and see if they have any brass tubing in the appropriate size.
