All people are religious - most are not honest enough to admit it.

Trying to stay out of the religious part of the discussion, I found this one interesting. The "logic" can show up in arguments about various topics. Paraphrased: Everyone is exactly like me. Those who claim they are not are just lying.

I'm sure this one has a name in the list of argument fallacies, but I don't recognize it by name.

A fine author who's attitudes toward religion are very creatively expressed in one of my favorite books: "Stranger in a Strange Land."

I think a nice non-atheist quote about the issue comes from Thomas Jefferson:

"Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."

I've always noticed Manfred's tag line with nervous apprehension, but he had never "gone preachy" before, so I never worried about it. That is why I've never been to the Christian Motorcyclists Assn. website (I think that is what the big group is called), but I figured this was Manfred's thread, so I'm more than willing to give him some leeway.

Gents - no offense taken at anything posted here. God is in His heavens and not the least bit put off by man's "wisdom". Men who do not question things are foolish. God's Word tells us to "Test all things, hold to that which is true." I say, test all electric wires, hold to those which are not carrying amperage.

God is angry with sinners all day and those who do not come to saving faith in Christ Jesus will stand before Him on Judgment Day and be held accountable for every word, thought, and deed that does not conform to His holy standards.
