does it matter if the push rods have been mixed up in orientation when re installing? I have a 71 r75/5.

Too late now! just kidding... It would have been best to return them to their original position, but no harm if not.

haha, thanks... if all four push rods are identical, then why do they need to be placed in the original position?

They do "bed in" over time... they'll do it again...
